Santa
Molly enjoyed his company none the less. I quick got this shot at the end of the hour and a half visit when she would finally sit on his lap.
Also I was wondering if the other parents out there noticed that kids seem to get sassier as Christmas gets closer? I think saying the old you better behave or Santa won't come only makes them see how far they can push you ...even more. I am usually pretty good at threatening bad behavior with things I will actually follow through on but for some reason it just comes out at this time of year. Today when she painted the dining room chair blue..."Do you not want Santa to come?"...just came out automatically. Really I could never be so mean as to not give her anything Christmas morning but I can't stop saying it either. I guess the sassiness is really just my fault after all. Oh well it will all end in one short week when she is high on sugar and surrounded by a mound of wrapping paper and boxes. Then it will be back to just plain old threats like "keep it up and you're going to bed now" Until then Merry Christmas!

I need opinions???

A time to love.
I don't often like to express my opinions on things that may offend others on my blog. I like to try and keep it light and happy but I saw something today that just made me cry and feel sorry for all of us. A man was killed at Walmart on Black Friday. The HUGE man...I believe they say he was 6-4 and about 275 pounds suffocated as 1,500 people piled into the store to get their "great deals". Yeah they crushed him and he died. Opps sorry didn't notice the man lying on the floor because I had to get my big screen tv. It hurts my heart. It hurts not just because of what happened but what we have become.
As Christmas gets closer I hope everyone remembers what it is really all about. It is not about giving someone something that they may love to get but in 5 years or less will forget about. I don't know about you but I don't remember what I got 3 years ago for Christmas but I do remember being with the people I love and the look on my little girls face when she saw the lights on the trees and snow on the ground for the first time. That I will never forget.
Let's just try to treat each other a little kinder and think about others instead of just ourselves all the time. Please.

The Fabric Motherload!!!!

I went to Vinnies the other day and I just about yelped. There was so much cool old fabric that I couldn't even fit it all in my cart. My friend Geri makes these totally incredible clothes from vintage fabric and it just happened to be all that kind. I bought like $60 worth of fabric...which is ridiculous because I already have an obscene amount...and she came and got a bunch of it. I cannot wait to see what she creates with all of it. You really do need to go to her etsy and give her some love. She is super cool. Oh hope you don't mind Geri but I used one of your pics in my post.
